How we work

A Complete Process to Create Immersive Décors

At Universal Rocks, we specialize in delivering custom-themed environments through a two-phase process designed to bring your vision to life. From concept development to final delivery, our team ensures every detail is carefully crafted to meet your unique requirements.

Steps

At Universal Rocks, our expertise in sprayed concrete is at the heart of what we do. This advanced technique allows us to create highly realistic and durable structures — from rock formations and waterfalls to caves, façades, bridges, and artificial rivers.

The process begins with the assembly of detailed secondary and tertiary frameworks, carefully tailored to the specific geometry and purpose of each project. Once in place, we apply a thixotropic mortar — a specialized, high-performance mix — using high-pressure spray equipment directly on-site.

While the concrete is still fresh, our artists and technicians step in to sculpt and texture the surfaces by hand, shaping naturalistic contours or architectural forms with precision. Every detail is modeled to reflect the design intent and ensure visual authenticity.

To bring the surfaces to life, we enhance them with custom patinas and layered finishes, creating color variations and textures that blend harmoniously with their surroundings. This sculpting-painting duo is a key signature of our work — a fusion of structural mastery and artistic expression.

Beyond aesthetics, sprayed concrete offers major advantages:

  • It supports complex shapes and tight spaces,

  • Simplifies connections with existing structures,

  • And delivers a monolithic, seamless result built to last.

Whether we’re crafting an immersive themed landscape or a striking architectural element, sprayed concrete gives us the flexibility, efficiency, and durability to deliver exceptional, tailor-made environments.
